Perhentian Snippets
Perhentian weather has stabilized with minimal rain and lots of sunshine. From last check, tourist arrivals have picked up since last year and diving conditions, most if not all dive sites have recovered from the monsoon. In fact, we saw more turtles and sharks this year, always a good sign!
Our daily Redang/Lang Tengah dive & snorkel adventure trip kicks off on April 17th. Come and join us for a superb day trip on board our latest boat, Alu Alu III - a customized 55 footer dive wooden boat fitted for your comfort in mind. We depart Perhentian early, around 8am and be back a little after 6pm. For divers, the trip will cover 2 most beautiful dive sites in Redang/Lang Tengah with an option for a 3rd dive. As for snorkelers, there are ample areas to snorkel-till-you-drop.
Booking your seat on the boat is easy, just look for our poster (any many locations in both Kecil and Besar) and book your seat. A minimal deposit of RM50 per diver or RM20 per snorkeler is required. If you can't spot our colourful poster around, just call JOE at 0126870051 or drop by Alu Alu Divers at Teluk Dalam on Besar. We also do FREE pickups anywhere, anytime.
Yes, Alu Alu III finally ready to hit the waters. We are excited to offer this unique service to visitors (divers and non-divers) - to appreciate the beauty of Terengganu Marine Park archipelago. Perhentian - Lang Tengah - Redang. This way, you can visit all 3 islands without ever leaving Perhentian!
We guarantee daily trips - subject to minimum 2 divers and 2 snorkelers (to make the trip worthwhile).
On the boat, there are ample room for sunbathing and relaxing. All meals will be served on board the boat - breakfast, lunch and sweet cakes for tea. If you're thirsty, there are unlimited supply of soft drinks, water, and hot drinks for you to enjoy.
For those who like to discover off the beaten track, we recommend to dive Bidong Island, a mysterious island with colourful history. Once a Vietnamese refugee camp, Bidong was off limit until recently. There are no accommodation on the island (except remnants of the Vietnamese settlement) - the diving is superb with lots of big pelagics, all curious to see bubbles underwater (they will swim very close to you - a great experience).
Close to the main island of Bidong - there are many wrecked sampan - or small boats that carried the Vietnamese to safety, away from oppression. Legend has it, upon reaching Bidong, Vietnamese boat people wrecked their sampans to avoid being turned away. Till today, the ex-Bidong settlers, now enjoying freedom and quality in life around the world, often make pilgrimages back to Bidong to remember their first journey towards freedom.
We schedule dive trip to Bidong on demand, minimum 4 divers. Contact us for more details
