Fantastic Diving
We hate to brag... not quite :) As we have said, the stormy weather on the first week of March was the last of the monsoon and a promise of great weather is (almost) guaranteed! For the past few days this week, the weather was perfect - sunny with the right amount of cooling sea breeze and calm sea.
And the diving? Fantastic!
The sheer variety of marine life amazed even the seasoned old salts like us - imagined our visitors. Sharks, turtles, bumphead parrotfishes, huge groupers, giant Jenkins whiprays, courting Titan triggerfishes, cuttlefish, squids, lionfishes.... we can go on and on and on. Visibility is averaging around 10m and looks like improving by the day.
Seriously, make your trip here and soon! Perhentian will amaze you.. guaranteed

Was there in March with Capt Kadir's group accompanying my daughters on their OWD course. It was my first time in Perhentian, late March. I have no complaints. Swells are up there, I was more concerned about getting deeper, and visibility was okay..but the best was at Tokong Laut.
If all goes well, a group of us fun divers will return to Perhentian end of June 05.
If things go my way, you'll soon have broadband. And you can ask Arwana to install wi-fi.

:-) March was indded iffy - hit and miss if you know what I mean. Perhentian's weather has a life of its own, sometimes temperamental, most times, fantastic. We had a super great dives at Tokong Laut this weekend where viz was at least 20m and marine life is as prolific. You won't be disappointed. About internet -- it is a perennial hardship for us and if the Gods are hearing our prayers, Arwana will install a much faster connection. I am not picky - WiFi is great but a broadband is more than sufficient. But, for now, dial up is all we get. See you soon :)

It was a great weekend. Happy to meet you guys, Yusmar, Ari, Sussie, Sadrict, Gary... And thanks for Auntie's food. They ae delicious. The most exciting place is the shark point I think because we were lucky to see 3 of them. Thanks Yusmar. I hope seeing you guys soon.

I attended a 4-day open water diving course with Alu-Alu recently and I am proud to say that this is one of the best experience I ever had in my life. Thanks to my instructor Gary who made this course so interesting and wonderful. Gary, you're the man! To all the crews in Alu Alu, keep up your good work & enjoy your diving!

Hi Ari and ALU-ALU DIVERS team,
just arrived from PERHENTIAN to KL this evening, safely. This is my second visit to Perhentian but the first to enjoy my snorkelling with ALU-ALU DIVERS. Hahahaha...
really amazing that your people really friendly and funny, luvs to comeback and enjoy your services again. Ari, FAUNA chalet is really a great choice. Hope to see you soon.
